in5 Privacy Policy
Effective October 16, 2026
This policy explains what information TIKA Solutions LLC ("TIKA", "we", "us") — 20860 N Tatum Blvd, Suite 300, Phoenix, AZ 85050, USA — collects when you use in5.us, the in5 software and our services, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions: support@in5.us.
1. What we collect — and what we never collect
We keep only what is needed to run your account and support you:
- Account and contact information. Name, email address, company name and billing address of the people who create or administer an in5 account, and the email addresses of the users an administrator adds. Partners (resellers) also give us the contact details of the customers they manage.
- Purchase and billing records. What you bought, when, for how much, invoices and receipts. Card details are entered on, and held by, our payment processor Stripe (stripe.com/privacy); we never see or store your full card number.
- License and activation records. Your license key, the number of activations, and the date, version and a device identifier for each activation and update check, so that we can honor your license and prevent abuse.
- Support correspondence. The messages you send to support@in5.us or through our help desk, and any files you attach to them.
- Site usage. The cookies and analytics described in §3.
We do not receive or store the content of your InDesign documents, the HTML you export with in5, or anything you publish with it. in5 runs on your computer; your documents never pass through our servers. Files you send to support are used only to resolve your request and are deleted when it is closed (see §5).
2. How we use it
- To provide what you bought: deliver and activate licenses, send receipts and renewal notices, keep your account working.
- To support you: answer your requests and fix problems.
- To run and improve the site and the product: understand which pages and features help people (§3), find and fix bugs.
- To tell you about in5: product updates and, if you opted in, our newsletter. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link; service emails about your account and license are sent regardless.
- To meet legal obligations: tax records, responding to lawful requests.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for other companies' marketing.
3. Cookies and analytics
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies on in5.us, and we tell you here what each one does.
- Needed to run the site. The checkout and your account pages set cookies that keep you signed in and keep your order together. Payment details are entered on, and handled by, Stripe; we never see your full card number.
- Understanding how in5 is used (analytics). We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to learn which pages help people and where they get stuck — page views, clicks, and anonymized session replays. Google's _ga cookies last up to two years; Clarity's last up to a year. When you buy, our server also tells Google Analytics that a purchase was completed and, later, that a license was first activated, so that we can see which of our content leads to real customers. We never send Google your name, email address, or license key.
- Remembering how you found us (attribution). Two first-party cookies, in5_ft and in5_lt, remember the page you first arrived on and where you came from (for example a YouTube video or a search result) for one year. They contain no personal data and are used only to understand which content leads to purchases.
- Marketing. Only if you allow it, the Meta (Facebook) pixel records that you visited, so we can show in5 to similar audiences and measure our ads. We do not use it without your consent.
- Your choices. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland see a cookie banner and can accept all, allow analytics only, or reject; your choice is kept for twelve months in a cookie called in5_consent and can be changed at any time here. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal of marketing cookies everywhere. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser; the site will still work, though you may need to sign in again.
4. Who we share it with
- Service providers that help us run the business, under contracts that limit them to our instructions: Stripe (payments), Google (email, analytics, hosting of some services), Microsoft Clarity (analytics), our email-delivery and help-desk providers, and our web host. Each sees only what its job needs.
- Partners and resellers. If a reseller manages your license, we share the license and renewal status of that license with them; they are bound by our partner terms.
- Legal. Where the law, a court order or a government request requires it, or to protect our rights, our users or the safety of anyone.
- A buyer of the business. If TIKA or the in5 business is sold or merged, your information passes to the buyer, who must use it only as this policy allows.
Business customers: our security and data-protection commitments to you — including notice of a security incident affecting your data within 72 hours and a data-processing agreement on request — are set out in the in5 End User License Agreement, §11 (in5.us/legal/eulas/).
5. How long we keep it
- Account, license and purchase records: for as long as you have an account, and afterwards as long as tax and accounting law requires (seven years for invoices).
- Support correspondence: as long as it is useful to support you. Files you attach are deleted when the request is closed.
- Analytics and cookies: the periods in §3.
- Backups: encrypted copies may hold deleted data for up to 90 days before they roll off.
6. How we protect it
Everything travels over HTTPS. Card data never touches our servers. Access to customer data is limited to the people who need it to support you, each with their own login and two-factor authentication, and is logged. We test our systems and keep tested backups. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of an incident affecting your personal information we will tell you without undue delay and, for business customers, within the time the EULA promises.
7. Your rights and choices
You can ask us at any time to see, correct, export or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop marketing email — write to support@in5.us from the address on the account, or ask your account administrator. We will verify that the request comes from you before acting, and answer within 30 days. If you are in the EU/EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you also have the right to complain to your data-protection authority; residents of California and other US states with privacy laws have the rights those laws give, which the above covers. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising these rights.
8. Children
in5 is a professional tool. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16; if you believe a child has given us information, tell us at support@in5.us and we will delete it.
9. Other sites
Links to other sites are provided for convenience; their privacy practices are their own. Read their policies.
10. Changes
We may change this policy at any time. The current version, with its effective date, is always posted here, and previous versions stay in the archive. Our commitments to business customers in EULA §11 are not reduced by a change to this policy.
